Universal and timeless, perfume has always been a powerful force in rituals, medicine, myth and conquests.
Perfume has always been the path to the soul, with an immediate and invisible ability to diffuse pure pleasure into our subconscious.


In Egypt, more than 5000 years ago in ritual sacrifices, priests burned aromas to cover the smell of their victims’ blood. However the majority of perfume was used for embalming the rich deceased, before they reached the Kingdom of Osiris.


The Greeks used pottery and terracotta vases to conserve the perfumed essences, which they used to rub onto their legendary athletes.


The rich Romans used perfumed doves to perfume the air during the banquets, they spread unguents on their dogs and horses, the rubbed aromatic plants on their walls and scattered flower petals on the floors.
They also used to perfume the army’s flags when they left for war, to instil courage into the soldiers’ hearts.
The Chinese - 970 A.C. – The Emperor’s businessmen had discovered that by perfuming the silks, they were easier to sell to the merchants from the west.


Throughout history, perfume has been used for their ability to influence man’s emotions and moods.
